Celebration of World Ozone Day-2024

The Gujarat Pollution Control Board (GPCB), Bharuch, in collaboration with K J Polytechnic, Bharuch, and the Dahej Industries Association, successfully organized a seminar to commemorate World Ozone Day on 20thSeptember, 2024. The event took place at Seminar Hall A11, First Floor, Admin Block, K J Polytechnic College, Bharuch, at 11:00 AM.A distinguished gathering attended the seminar, including the Regional Officer of GPCB, Mr. K N Vaghamsi, and his team, the principal and faculty members and students of K J Polytechnic College, Office Bearers from Dahej Industries Association, and delegates from various industries located in Dahej, Vilayat, and Saykha.

The program commenced with a warm welcome to all dignitaries present. Following this, esteemed guests delivered insightful and inspiring speeches, highlighting the significance of ozone layer protection and the collective responsibility of industries and communities in safeguarding our environment.Two informative presentations were delivered by representatives of SRF Limited and Navin Fluorine Advance Science Limited, shedding light on their respective organizations’ initiatives and contributions towards environmental sustainability. Additionally, a poster competition was held, and the winners were selected by a panel of judges. The talented participants were awarded prizes for their outstanding efforts in raising awareness about ozone depletion and its consequences.

The seminar provided a valuable platform for knowledge sharing, collaboration, and inspiration. It underscored the importance of adopting sustainable practices and technologies to mitigate the adverse effects of ozone depletion and ensure a healthier planet for future generations.
