- Dahej Eco-Friendly Society is a non-statutory body to meet any industrial emergency (both on-site & off-site) in Vagra Taluka. It was started in 1999 under the guidance of District Collectorate & Factory Inspectorate, Bharuch Which is working with the objective to serve the industries, society and community in Bharuch District on the basis of private public partnership. DEFS has been set-up with the support from all the member industries of Dahej and that of Gujarat State Disaster Management Authority (GSDMA). The main aim of Dahej Eco Friendly Society is to co-ordinate various activities at the time of emergency situation. In addition, we are providing Fire fighting Facilities at the time of Emergencies. The society is providing training in various fields like safe work practices, Hazard identification, etc... to the Industries and villagers.
- At present D.E.F.S. is functioning from Plot no. 715/01, Near PCPIR Goal ITI, Opp. Expanded Polymer, Dahej -392 130, Taluka Vagra, Dist. Bharuch,.D.E.F.S. Conducts public awareness programme, training on handling hazardous chemicals at various level of employees, mock-drill, first aid training through reputed personnel etc
- By looking need of the estate Dahej Industries Association took a lead to Construct a well equipped Mini-ERC in the Estate which will be adequate to meet any emergency of the estate with its own resources. DIA purchase land for the same & Started construction Activities On it.
