“Sapling Distribution” on the Occasion of World Environment Day-2024

In celebration of World Environment Day 2024, the Dahej Industries Association and Dahej Eco-Friendly Society (Disaster Management Center-Dahej) Jointly conducted two-day plant and sapling distribution drive. This initiative aimed to raise awareness about the significance of tree plantation among local industries and provide them with readily available saplings for their greening efforts.

Over two days, more than 51 industries participated, collecting a total of approximately 1000 saplings. These saplings will be used for tree plantation activities within the industrial premises or surrounding areas, contributing to a greener and healthier Dahej. Adding a layer of commitment to the initiative, representatives from each participating industry took an oath during the sapling collection process. This oath signifies their dedication to post-plantation care and watering, ensuring the long-term survival and growth of the newly planted trees.

This collaborative effort by DIA and DEFS demonstrates the growing environmental consciousness within Dahej’s industrial community. By promoting tree plantation and fostering responsible aftercare, the initiative has the potential to create a lasting positive impact on the local environment.
